I made a trip today to an area of Sydney that I have not yet explored: Camperdown, home to two prestigious institutions:
1. The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
2. The University of Sydney
My reason for catching the 8:30 a.m. bus on Anzac Parade was because of a 10 a.m. interview I had for a potential internship at the Hospital's Psychiatric Wing. Two funny things happened on the way to the psych ward:
1. I asked an old man for directions and accidentally called it the Prince Albert Hospital. What an unfortunate name. Alfred. Albert. Makes it rather confusing when one has such a, well, kinky definition (here in this exact spot I would add the wikipedia link but the photos are rather disturbing). Luckily, he was too old to pick up on my mistake.
2. The old man smiled and pointed towards a little road I would have surely missed and said, "Building 92. Just head down Johns Hopkins Drive!" Are you serious? I had an interview today on Johns Hopkins Drive. I don't even know what to make of that.
I decided after the meeting to wander through USyd. I've heard that it is a beautiful campus, and it really, really is. It's the oldest University in Australia and is filled with sprawling, perfectly-manicured lawns, and rugby pitches, and massive limestone, cathedral-like buildings, and residential colleges that look like Hogwarts. One, Wesley College, is perched up on a hill and as I walked by, two things caught my eye:
1. The Australian flag hanging off the front of the building and blowing in the clear blue sky
2. Half naked boys assembling a blow-up pool on the front lawn
I should've stuck around . . . but sadly, I had another bus to catch.

So this particular entry is about all things " hanging "
